Bahnhofplatz 1, Mainz
I know him very well and for a long time ... This place has given me a lot, even if now some people are smiling
It's the main station, so you can expect bakeries, liquor stores, a small rewe, and for the trains, they have a timetable screen, easy to spot the platforms as well, that way you can catch your train easily. There is also an infopoint
I like Mainz Central Station very much. The police work there is impeccable, so that as a citizen you feel safe and well protected.
It is almost very well maintained and clean.
Could be cleaner and the construction sites are not always pleasant.
Endless delays and that in times of Corona and home office
Overview top. Cleanliness gives better examples!
Not overwhelmingly pretty, but not in a way that scares you either. There are a few shops (bakery, pharmacy, bookstore, etc.). At the track you have to make a little effort to find the correct track sections A-E or similar. Otherwise everything is quite acceptable there.
Normal Trainstation, nothing special.
Great! It has Rossman, Starbucks, cigarette shops, bakery, and Go to store, which I love so much
Toilets are open, there is Rossman, Subway and a McDonald's branch without Mc Rib, they don't have all sorts
Well, don't take the train that often, but you can definitely do more
Very clean. Distance is mainly maintained and also controlled.
Yesterday evening my brother-in-law was kicked off the train by a Vlexx-Bahn employee because he supposedly did not have a valid ticket. Before that, we had taken advice from the DB service station in Gießen and received a timetable, which the Vlexx conductor didn't accept ... either buy a new ticket for 65 euros or get off in Mainz, otherwise she'll call the police. I had a valid ticket, but got off the train out of solidarity with my brother-in-law. Instead of 10:30 p.m., we didn't arrive in Saarlouis until 1:00 a.m. the next day. Not good cooperation and behavior towards customers between Vlexx and DB. Despite everything, have a nice corona-free and peaceful Christmas season
Cold and wet.
Well the shops open so that one can operate the shopping spree
Nice and modern
Super communicative place !!! Food, drinks, fast and quality service! Everywhere people are very kind. Many electronic information boards.
Clearly arranged and quite clean for a train station. Good deal for travelers.
Clear station, several bakeries, groceries, Rossmann drugstore, pharmacy, Mac Donald, gift boutique, clothing, snack bar, etc. also open until 8pm on Sundays and public holidays.
Since it is a through station, it is sometimes very poorly made to move flexibly from a to b when a train changes track, as the escalators (which only lead in one direction of the track) are often out of order. Sometimes you reach a certain track via stairs, only then the train drives away behind you because it departs from another track. A lot of catching up to do
It used to be a slightly nostalgic place, today it's just ugly! Alcoholics, rampaging young people and otherwise no longer a really nice train station ?
From Mainz to Koblenz with the E bike from Wiesbaden very nice. I had a lot of rain and headwind
Trains are only used for the sake of the environment. HBF is unfortunately no longer what it used to be. But only talk about the forecourt here. One or the other can create a picture for themselves. ???
Nice
It's not very clean.
Nice place ?
Many services and operations excellence. Timely services. Many places to eat. Close to Mainz Center.
Cool
Nice shops good prices before you catch the train for your trip.
A nice place
5☆ small but has everything
Quite a big station with lot of trains coming up and down. European charm. Ticket machines are there to buy ticket options. Timings are good. Many food shops and utility shops are at the station. Taxi are close by and you don't have to walk a lot to get a taxi. Information centre is at the 1st floor to guide you.
gut
Clean and organised.
Too mach alcoholic
Q: How was Mainz Hauptbahnhof ? A: It was like Hauptbahnhof. Coffee Shops, Bäcker, Food chains, people looking for free washrooms, taxi stand in front, announcements from train management, angry people because of delays and missed connections, some drunk people doing nothing, people trying to take a nap in restaurants, students, tourists, workers, professionals, children, women, men........... Nice place !
Not exactly my favourite station. Going up and down to reach the tracks can be very uncomfortable. Ticket machines are not in the most prominent spots. And I would welcome a quieter, more spacious seating area. But the station is usually clean.
